I received a letter/newsletter today welcoming me to HA's new Puliani Preferred Membership.

As a HA BofA Visa cardholder, I'm automatically a member of this new elite level.

The benefits include:

More seats available for mileage redemption tickets than for non-members.

"You'll have more seats to choose from when redeeming miles for HA flight awards (E Awards)."

Preferred Seat Selection
Beginning March 25

"When booking online or by phone you will be able to select a seat when traveling Interisland and have more seats to choose from on mainland flights.

Inter-island: While other members will be assigned a seat at check-in (presumably to include on-line check in), Pualani Preferred members will be able to select their seat at time of reservation.

Mainland: Pualani Preferred members will have access to a block of seats not available to other customers."

To re-qualify for the status for 2006, one must:
-- Fly at least 15,000 miles or 20 segments
-- Have a current HA Visa credit card
It doesn't say that you must fly or have the card, so presumably you have to do both. :(

Wow this is great! I was wondering for a long time why when I log in to my account that is a HA Visa card has more awards than a non-HA Visa card account. The star you see on the awards page means this is a special inventory for HA Pualani Preferred. But I don't see myself doing 15,000 Miles on HA this year so I hope I could have Pualani Preffered with a HA Visa card.

Will Pualini Preferred have access to the HA lounges?

So these Preferred members will have more inventory available than a Pualani Platinum member? If so, I'd be a pissed if I were plat.

I have a Plat visa but have not gotten the offer so it may be targeted. I hope
we all get the offer as it will be nice to have a couple of free drinks on those T/P flights and First class check in /boarding with Pualani membership :p

I used to have a Hawaiian VISA card, but I received the offer and the upgrade in status.....thanking me for being a card holder....I haven't been a card holder in about a year....funny....not sure what this really gives me, so what for a 20 minute flight on which seat!

Same exact thing happened to me. I dropped the HA Visa a year ago when HA discontinued service to ONT. But I got the status upgrade anyway. It may come in handy as I use both HA and AQ for flights to OGG from the mainland. If I can get a better shot at seat selection, it works for me.
