Real close call.. I'm just amazed that it doesn't happen more often. Humans are humans and errors will happen over time..

LAX seems to be an unfortunate hub of near misses. Recently, there was the near miss between the landing and almost departing plane. And now this. I'm not an expert, but I'm sure runway configuration and the sheer volume of air traffic are part of the equation.
