Two or three of us are going to be at the Aladdin the weekend of 3/4 burning up the free nights from last fall's Starwood 5/1 promo. For the basic low level player ($5/10 blackjack, $20 pai gow, .25 video poker), is it even worth trying to gamble there, or just go elsewhere immediately? We will have a car, but we're also probably going to split up a fair portion of the time.

Depending on how much you play will determine if you'll qualify for any comps. QL probably has a better analysis, but I'd think you'd need to get to about $1000 coin-in (or table bets) before you'd really get anything.
Playing at a smaller/off-strip casino will get you more benefits for less money played, just because they have less high rollers and are more interested in getting people to play at their property.

You're not going to get much at that level. Just have a good time and enjoy the free drinks.
