Dear FT'ers,
I have managed to get myself & Mrs Deansie some award flights all in T class in September (40,000 points short of doing the lot in business :( ).
Adelaide - Melbourne
Melbourne - Heathrow
Heathrow - Dublin
Dublin - Paris
Rome - Heathrow
Heathrow - Sydney
Sydney - Adelaide

I am a Platinum flyer & Mrs Deansie has nil status (although I have 6 months to get 770 status points to get partner gold!)

As the bulk of my flying is domestic economy with the odd paid business seat overseas I am looking for some help on seat allocations. Not concerned with intra Europe flights just the long haul ones!

I am booked on:
QF9 Melbourne - London
QF2 London - Melbourne

Any help would be appreciated! Dr Deansie

One thought, if you were just short of being able to book business class in points, did you look for availability travelling BA in R class ( World Traveller Plus ) 25% more points than economy but would be a lot more comfortable for the OZ-UK-OZ flights. You would still be in economy on the european sectors.

If you stick with QF9/2 I would recommend 46BC /HJ or 58BC/HJ since these are the exit row seats. As a Platinum member the Premium Desk will contact the seating department and try and obtain these for you. You will be able to get your companion seated next to you too.
