I'm currently in YVR and am just a plain ordinary gold member and don't mean to look a gift horse in the mouth but...I booked a Compact with Hertz and since it was late when I got in to YVR I didn't think about it the car or much of anything else since I had be travelling for the lst 12 hours and just wanted to get to the hotel and crash. The Gold desk in YVR offered me a an upgrade to an F150 pickup, which I declined. They then gave me the key to the Chevy Impala they had the paperwork ready for.
First question, since I booked a compact, do they really consider a Chevy Impala a compact or did I get an upgrade? I would have thought a Cavalier would be more in line with a compact.
Second, if I did really upgrade is there any way to make sure that you get a car in the class you actually booked? In this case since I'm driving in a city I like driving in a smaller car...easier to park, etc.
