US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-2005 America West merger) - US Award Seat Release? Help!

I'm trying to book an award flight on US from WAS-IAH/HOU for next weekend and I'm not seeing award availability for Friday afternoon/night flights. They may have just sold out, but I was wondering if US releases unpurchased seats to the award inventory at 7 days/3 days/24 hours or something. Anybody? I was going to give up adn fly Saturday early morning instead, but if I have a shot at award availability opening up, then I can hold off on booking this for a couple days. Thanks, FT! :)

Check to see how full the flights you want are. If they're really full, there's not much chance of awards opening up. If they're empty, then it might (but probably not). However, you can always book the flights that are available and then standby the day before (only try this if the earlier flight has room).
