Travel Technology - What do you guys thing about the new Archos?
I'm looking at upgrading to a new HD based MP3 player. Then I started looking at these and figured that Video was also important:

I've seen the 80GB version for a bit north of $500. Anyone see/try one of these yet and have opinions to offer?

Your link is for the Neuros audio player not an Archos video player.

From what I have read about the Archos with video playback is the battery drains from it like hell.
Personally I have no experience with it but my housemate is looking into mp3 players (or as she says mp4  ) and says that apparently iRiver are bringing out a video playback mp3 player and it you can buy a battery for that which lasts 60hrs! She does seem to get her wires crossed about a lot of things but says she has been looking into this over the past week or so

I got one of the new ones for christmas and returned it the next day. Really buggy. It's needs another revision or two before I will buy one.

she definitely has her wires crossed. A multimedia video player that runs for 60hrs on a battery?
THe closest thing I know of is an 1gb flash audio player made by iaudio/jetaudio that gives you 55hours of playback on a AA battery
