Anyone catch the web addess of the company selling the wireless mouse described in the January '05 American Way? The device had storage for the transceiver right inside the mouse itself. The thing may be gigantic but I would like to check it out anyway.

Didn't check the one in American Way, but I did recently get a Microsoft Wireless mouse for the SO, it also holds the receiver underneath the device, AND turns the mouse off when the recevier is placed under it.

It's on sale at Costco now for $27, a very decent price for an awesome mouse.

I have the Labtec Mini Wireless Optical Mouse (http://www.labtec.com/index.cfm/gear/details/AMR/EN,crid=29,contentid=627) and it stores the receiver in its base as well.

It's on sale for $23.99 at Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000098VQS/qid=1106042302/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1_etk-electronics/104-6772653-1846364?v=glance&s=electronics&n=172282)

It's very comfortable, though I do miss having a thumb button as on my Logitech Cordless Mouseman. It does have a scroll wheel. The batteries don't last 2 or 3 months as they say, though, at least not for me (though I now use rechargeables).

I saw this one at Fry's the other day:

Looks pretty slick, and the mouse "expands" 7 degrees to fit your hand, unlike some other micro sized ones out there that get uncomfortable to use.

It's also got a solid state scroll panel, no more scroll wheel, but i don't know how well that works. I may pick one up since I've been looking for one anyways.

Seeing how I refuse to buy anything from Microsoft, I'll give that Logitech model a look.

Oh, so this is not a unique feature; I thought I found something there. Thanks for the recommendations everyone. Since costco is my favorite store, it looks like the evil MS will get some business, sorry guys. ;)

As evil as they may be, their hardware DOES rock, it's always been great quality stuff.
