I'll be spending most of that weekend at the airport in Jacksonville, as a volunteer. I volunteer year round at the airport as an airport ambassador (when I'm not traveling myself, working, or attending school) and will be spending something like 31 hours there over 4 days during SuperBowl helping out the hundreds of volunteers from the citywide pool who will be assigned there.

I just heard today to look for more B757s into JAX with US that weekend. Delta is already slotting B767-400s as part of their 40-something extra flights.

Having airport ambassadors is great. Houston had them and it really helped a lot.

Flight availability is very slim now. Luckily I did a premium award months ago and got FC (free redeposit as a CP is awesome). About a month ago, they did switch a 737 to a 757 on the Monday after the SB. Luckily I was in row 2 already.

AB, I thought I was staying at your house. I mean we talked for all of 3 minutes at RF. I thought we were lifelong friends now. ;)

Seriously, if you guys have any leads on hotels it is appreciated. I think that is more difficult than a ticket.

Hertz conveniently deleted my reservation since it was at $30/day when prices are now $75+/day. Thanks Hertz.
