We're flying BDL-CLT-LAS in early April, all legs on 757s FC. I notice there are only 8 FC seats on these aircraft. Does this mean there is no choice in meals?
Are there meals? How's the drink service? Is it too early to tell what service will be like? Any feedback is appreciated.

drink service should be fine and the service attentive. doubt that you'll see a meal.

Probably won't see a full meal BDL-CLT though you'll get some food (depends on time of day too). But CLT-LAS you'll probably get decent grub (no guarantees though).

You see the snack basket on both flights. But if the flight is after about 7:30PM, that's the only food you'll see on the long haul. If it says it's a "snack" flight in FC, you'll get a small sandwich, some pasta salad and a cookie. You might need to eat at Chili's or that seafood place in term C before you leave.

Then again, when I go to LAS on an evening flight, I don't worry about a lot of food. Sure I make sure I have something, but not starving when I get there. Then I take advantage of one of the late night specials that LAS is reknown for.

During the day you might still want to take a snack, just in case. FC service on US isn't what it used to be.

I flew CLT-LAS-CLT on the B757 last month (cleared both ways at the gate as a Gold, only Preferred to clear on the redeye return). Left Charlotte on the evening flight, which is like a 6:30pm departure. First had choice of three entrees.... stuffed chicken, a salad with seafood, and a warm tuna filet dish or something like that. Had the stuffed chicken, which was rather small, and served with a vegetable side and something resembling salsa, plus a sliver of pecan pie and a dinner roll. Redeye return had the sandwich described above.

Late night specials LAS is renown for- That can have several different connotations.

My experience on the CLT-LAS flight in first is they only feed you enough to soak up a small amount of the alcohol. I will say in my experience that service is very attentive and no one in first will go thirsty.

I am willing to bet flights transcontinental flights to LAS serve 2-3 times as many drinks as is typical on a (321 with 25 F/C seats) going somewhere else.

That's the only bet you are sure to win in LAS. :D
