Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - CX in F -340-300, 340-600 or 747-400

Which CX flight from the US has the best F service? I live in NYC and traveling to HKG next month and not sure if I should take the CX nonstop (340-600), CX via Vancouver (340-300), or AA to LAX or SFO to catch the CX flight (747-400) ... Any thoughts?
Define "best F service". If you mean seats, there are 8 in the Airbuses and 12 in the 747. Seats are almost the same.
If you have time constraint, go with the non-stop.

The service is the same on all F flights, subject only to the vagaries of the individual crew. Personally I would take the non-stop if I could cope with the afternoon departure, and the via-YVR if I needed to do a full day's work before leaving. I don't really think that going via LAX or SFO is worth it unless you can do it for the same price and really, really need the extra miles.

Some people think that some routes get better service and more freebies than others. That's why they ask...
But basically, as christep says, it all depends on you, and your time in essence.

Take the A340-600 non-stop. The non-stop far outweighs anything else. There is not really any difference in aircraft (perhaps a slightly better ambiance in the nose of the 747).

Yes, but again, a matter of personal preferance. :)

I think the best combination for you is to take the CX889 to YVR then get the CX839 to HKG (744)
I disagree with the Non Stop JFK-HKG. (especially with the strange meal arrangements breakfast @ 8pm local time)
Also if something does stuff up you have to put up with it for the whole trip.
I just flew F on CX888 and for some reason the 2A seat got stuck when we re-boarded @ YVR. Luckily it was an relatively light segment (compare to the HKG-YVR) hence the pax just switch to the seat on the right.
Also I cannot believe they ran out of Tie Kwun Yum on the flight (they only carried 5 packets)
I also noted the deterioration of catering in outports on my past 5 CX trips in F/J over the past month.
I will do a detail TR once I complete the remaining sectors.
I have uploaded the pix of the catering, seat etc... already. I will establish an account for all you guys over the next day or so.
Also Skye, FYI, the overhead locker in 2A/K (on the 34C) sometimes does have a divider and sometimes it does not have a divider. Also I noted that when the Fluo light in ROW 11 is on, it does thrun on the fluo lamp in row 2A/K as well (only the last window). This can be rather annoying if you are trying to sleep.
I have photos to show you exactly what I mean.

Skye, don;t be so critical of others and you might earn yourself so respect.
I know my grammar might be bad, all I am suggesting is that I prefer the 1 stop flight over the non-stop.
Photos are on snapfish.
I am thinking whether I will create a dummy e-mail account and then you can all access it. It seems ofoto is better (just a username and password).
Can someone please suggest a solution for the photos to be uploaded.
As for the comment on the following:
"And don't "FYI" me. I know that it depends on the aircraft, so there."
The fact is. YOU DON'T!
I clearly remember you agrue this point with me. But anymore don't want to go OT on here so please feel free to PM me.

Thank you newcx12345 for your thoughts. But isn't that what www.airlinemeals.net is for?
Perhaps a better place for you to post your travel experiences would be at the Travel reports forum.

Thanks GB, but I find airlinemeals to be a bit picky as they did not even post 1 of my pictures last year on my last DONE4
I will do a TR for the whole thing, but for detail CX related items I want to share it with our fellow CX members.
Anyway, I will just create an account with the login details here so people can browse at their leisure.
Oh and I forgot, Happy New Year.

It's probably because there are already way too many posts on Oneworld carriers' meals. If you post from airlines' far from the norm, you would get notice.

skye, you're being a bit trite lately. Once when someone asked about Y, you just HAD TO post something like "I don't know, I normally fly F" I mean, that's great for you, but what right do you have to brag like that? Poor bloke wanted info on Y, that was totally irrelavant. And what gives you the right to call newcx12345 a {not a member friendly word}?
