I was wondering does Jet Blue use Airshow as their GPS Map? If not does their map display the same info like time to destination, air speed, ground speed, out side temp etc? Does the moving map display the exact same info as Airshow? it is less interesting or more interesting to watch than Airshow? Can you listen to XM radio and watch the map. Thanks.

I think they use airshow. It shows speed and altitude at the very least. They don't have XM yet. It comes on later in the year.

See now I was under the assumption that XM was installed in 2004.. as per their press release when they announced it..

I am not positive, but I believe that the Fox pay per view will be completed first. They already have it on some of their flights and i think they want it finished by April. I heard that the XM satellite radio will not be completed until fall 2005. Can any Jblu employee confirm or deny this.

Fox InFlight is installed on about 40 of the 69 A320s in the fleet. Paid service of the movies will begin on 1/17/05 and will be $5. The movies will be free on the SJU/BQN/STI/SDQ flights. Currently the movies are "Taxi" and "I Heart Huckabees". Also new on board is Colorcalm "Skies" which "consists of continuous, soothing, multi-colored skies spanning a full spectrum of 36 PANTONE shades set to classical music. In conjunction with the dedicated Colorcalm channel, every seatback on JetBlue aircraft will carry a Colorcalm card designed to explain the proven, calming power of color. The Colorcalm seatback card offers JetBlue customers a fresh perspective on color and life, as well as ways to balance vital energy chakras through colorful visualization, breathing and meditation exercises"

Channel 13 does not display any information other than position, airspeed and altitude, and it doesn't even run continuously (it is frequently interrupted for ads). It has no audio track (is silent). At a minimum I wish it would run continuously, and I wish they would add ATC audio to it. As it is I watch something else, and I either turn it on in an adjacent empty seat if there is one, or watch one in the next row if it is on.
