Help please...I am about to lose my elite status with US. Used to be Gold, dropped to Silver and now about to lose that...you guessed it, I live in Baltimore. There are very few good schedules out of BWI anymore. I do have the US Signature Visa card though. I thought I remembered that some of the "elite" benefits were also available to this level US Visa holders. Am I correct? You all are my source for anything US, can you set me straight?

Thanks,

Okay, I'll bite. Why does it matter to you, other than your long memory of when US was a good choice for you?

I think he asked a legitimate question. Why would someone who doesn't fly US want status?

Not that this thread in anyway pertains to me. I'm not in Baltimore nor do I have the credit card but a lot of people fly US frequently (relatively) without making status. For example, someone could travel 14 roundtrips from BWI-CLT and still not have status. My guess is that the poster cannot fly US enough to maintain status but still flies US.

I think it's a legitiamate question but I think it has a kind of obvious answer considering he bother to post. It's not like US doesn't have a reasonable prescence at BWI. I believe MCO and FLL flights are being added. Not to mention the DCA focus city/hub.

So to the original poster: sorry to see some with an overly sarcastic beant on life but some of us do appreciate having other fliers on FT - status or not.
