Welcome to FT! Mr. Littlechi and I were there on our honeymoon 3 years ago, and I am far from an expert but I'll give you my $.02.

Bora Bora was the less active of the islands we went to. (Mororea and Taihiti were the other two). The over the water bungalow was fantastic, beautiful and fun, since we could jump off the porch and swim at night whenever we wanted. Our travel agent said that she wouldn't recommend the over the water bungalow on any other island but Bora Bora. Dinner at Bloody Mary's was included in our package and I would go there again. We also fed the sharks (touristy, but cool).

I have heard since then that the scuba diving is great off the island, although we went on Mororea, so I don't know that first hand. Also, the only sail boat for rent on the entire island was broken, so we couldn't do that.

The view of the island from the plane was beautiful, the water is great, there is a lot of coral along the beaches so I would recommend those water shoes if you are going to swim off the beach.

It was a beautiful, romantic island.
