Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - Best times to visit sydney

I know this question is probably asked all the time, but for some reason, I'm not able to use the search engine. It just states that the page is not available.

My wife and I are thinking of going to Australia in April. It would be the best time for me to get away from my job, but I could always go in march or even up to June. Is this considered high season or low? Are hotel rates/ airlines rates better or worst? I believe April is their fall season and it would seem to be a good season, but I was hoping to get some input from the wise ones on FT.

Probably low, or at worst shoulder. Definitely not high season. Only thing to watch for is when are the school holidays?

Which unfortuantely cover most of April, from April 11 to April 22. :)

With 25 April being Anzac Day, I would consider that weekend (23-25 April) also holidays.
