Please help: I have an Apple Powerbook G4 and have tried to find a "mobile office kit": you know the cable that plugs into your USB port and then into your cell phone[ I have both sprint and Verizon} and you use your cell phone as a modem. My problem is they are available for PCs but every cable i pick up in fine print it says os req windows XP Anyone out there that has an apple and gotten around it. My problem is that i travel to a small colorado town frew and stay in a studio that does not have internet ascess, nor do any neighbors have wifi[i tried] any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ann patrice

I'll need a model number for the phone you want to use.
Usually the cables are the same and you don't need to use any dialing software, just the correct dialing string.

I don't see either of those phones supported by OS X in iSync. That doesn't mean that they are not supported, though. Your best best is to visit your wireless carrier's store, getting the cable and testing it (it's not like the manufacturer of the cable is going to matter--PC or Mac, the pins are the same).
However, for the LG, try:

for the Sanyo:

The website www.macintouch.com has an extensive section on Mac/cell phone connectivity. I believe if you poke around you can find links to sites with the correct dialing strings for the "PC only" cables.
Good luck,
