Does anyone have recommendations for a 1-night stay in the Rotorua area in August? I am trying to find somewhere nice, but not too too expensive.
Thanks!
Thanks!

There're plenty of mid-range hotels/motels in Rotorua. someotherguy Jan 11, 05, 10:13 pm I've stayed at the Rydges and the Novotel. The Rydges was cheaper than the Novotel and I thought it was better. Both are standard issue hotels. BTW. Rotorua is considerably less interesting than Yellowstone. If your time is short, I'd skip it. Morrissey Jan 11, 05, 10:31 pm Yeah, I've been to Rotorua, and it's not the most exciting place you can visit in NZ. One day is definitely enough. I do recommend the Polynesian Spa, however...and it's open until 11pm! http://www.polynesianspa.co.nz/ mindgame Jan 13, 05, 11:42 am Thanks. I think I've narrowed it down to B&Bs or lodges. I have 5 days/4nts in NZ and am planning to do Auckland - Waitomo - Rotorua - Coromandel - Auckland in that time. I figured I'd need to o/n in Rotorua and/or Coromandel at least 1-2 nts. As I'll also be going to Australia, I figured i'd skip northland/bay of islands this time. |
