Just got a 4705 - love the screen but apparently no microsoft reader comes with it. This means I can't read ebooks (beats carrying heavy books with me for entertainment)

Help?

I'm sure the Microsoft Reader is free.
you can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/reader/

Wow what a quick response. Thanks so much - it was already on my other pda's so didn't think of this ;) Just downloaded and will synch and hopefully good to go.

havent use mine for travel yet, but loading lots of movies and ebooks and leaving the laptop at home.

have you tried installing Skype on it for voip via wireless ?

Will give skype a try - wasn't aware of it but am now :) If you use it with the pda do you have to have a headset that is a microphone and speaker (and would this work with the earphone jack) or can you somehow use the microphone on the pda for speaking? (I am thinking bluetooth might be good for both)

Also how do you load movies?

it will work with the headphone jack or through the speakers and mic on the pda. I find that it works very well when doing outgoing calls and it seems much more reliable than xten another sip softphone but not as much features as skype except it allows incoming calls.

The pda should also work with bluetooth headsets. i wanna try that out.

Download betaplayer and it will load nearly all the different movie types. Also you can rip your own dvd using some pocketwizard or pocket studio and it will optimize the size for pda viewing. It works just like a portable video player. You will need at least 512MB sd card.
