Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - What size are the Y class headphone sockets?
Hi,
I am hoping if someone can tell me if CX are still using the oversized headphone sockets in Y (specifically on the 744 and 330) and if so, what type of adapter is required to bring on board your own n/c headphones?
Thanks :)

I think they're the 2 pin jack.
My seat 57D on 74J B-HOR 4 days ago has the large single 1/4"-type plug connector.

Okay, maybe the 747 is different from the B777 they fly regionally. Sorry it's been a while since I flew in Y on a 747. Best for OP to take both the 2 pin and the 1/4" plug connector... just in case.
Thanks very much. My brother is flying home on CX from the USA to Australia and since I was the one that recommended the cheap CX tickets over the expensive QF, AC and UA ones if anything goes wrong, of course it will be all my fault. I have been caught out by the larger plug before, so now I can tell him to get a 1/4" adapter. :D

Hi,
Sorry to dig out this old thread. But would like to find out where I could get these connector? Also which one do I need?? Approx how much do they cost? I have a flight on 346 from JFK-HKG non-stop next week, would like to use my own shure e2c.
Thanks,

Don't know about your Shure E2c, but my E4c comes with a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter already. If you don't have one, you can get one at Radio Shack for $2.99 [Part# 274-367]
For the dual-plug stereo jack on many airlines, it's $5.99 at Radio Shack. [Part# 42-2495]
