The Hilton website show a Doubletree and a Hampton Inn withing 5 miles of Lexington, Mass. Any advise?

The Hilton website show a Doubletree and a Hampton Inn withing 5 miles of Lexington, Mass. Any advise?
Depends on where exactly you are going and how much you care about price.
I'll assume that you really are going to somplace in Lexington for now.
For full disclosure, I've stayed at the DT (Waltham) but never in the HI (Billerica). It seemed reasonable to me. My wife used to live in Billerica. I used to live in Waltham.
The Doubletree is likely to be a nicer, but more expensive hotel (and full service too with a nice bar IIRC). The Doubletree is likely to be easier to get to from Lexington (via I-95 nee SR 128) and from Logan Airport or downtown Boston (via I-90 and I-95).
The Hamptin Inn is likely to be cheaper but harder to get to (either up SR 3a, a two lane non-limited access road or up SR 3 a six lane road and then some backroads).

BTW, if you are looking for things to do outside the hotel, there a couple of restuarants (including Nakid Fish) across 128 / 95 from the DT and some restaurants in the strip mall across the road the DT is on and an Uno's on the road paralleling 128 south of the DT. I'm not sure what the food situation near the hotel in Billerica is.
