Hilton HHonors - Check cashing. What level & what property

I looked through the Hilton Honors website to find out about cashing checks at Hilton properties and could not find anything. I seem to recall finding this information at hhonors.com but am not having any luck. Could anyone help me out with the following:

What level member of hilton honors do you have to be to cash checks - i.e. blue, silver...? What Hilton brand hotels are you allowed to cash checks?

Check cashing rules used to be listed on the Hhonors website but I can't find them now either, which leads me to suspect that Hilton is now leaving it up to each property to do their own thing. Hence, I suggest you directly call the hotel you are planning on staying at and ask them.

According to my sources, check cashing is no longer a requirement by the hotels. Such is only done at the discretion of the hotel,,,as and I am hearing, most are not doing it anymore. "Security" is being mentioned as the reason it has been phased out. Seems the hotels do no want to have cash laying around waiting to be stolen. :-)
