Welcome to Flyertalk.

You posted your question in the "MilesBuzz" forum, which is for general (or multi-airline) mileage related subjects. As your question is related to USAirways, I'll automatically move the thread to that forum.

Personally, I'd use 100k to go to Europe from NA in 1st on Lufthansa.

Take a trip or two?

Where would you like to go?

I don't want to fly anywhere on US Airways, that's why I want to get rid of them.

So choose a StarAlliance carrier.

There are companies which will buy the miles--which I know isn't kosher, but given the events with US this week--those miles might be worth zero in 6 months.

I actually believe those places connect the "seller" of the miles with a "buyer" looking to take a trip. The broker takes a cut for his fee.

You don't need to fly on US to use the miles--- you can book an award ticket on a star alliance carrier--and even domestically, United would be an option there...

Well--again--I do not want to give out what might be considered "illegal" info--

but in the interests of education, if you are not familiar with google, it is a great search engine that you can even get as part of your browser toolbar--

if you enter the phrase "sell your frequent flyer miles" in google and do a search-you will get lots of results for possibilities.

I have never tried selling miles, so I cannot offer advice as to any particular company offering this service.

Wanna swap? I'll trade for 100,000 Hilton Hhonor points.

how would we make the swap and what could I do with the HH points?

You may want to check out this mileage converter to see what all the possibilities for transfer could be:

http://www.webflyer.com/programs/mileage_converter/

one option it gives for HH points:

Path #1 Miles/Points
US Airways Dividend Miles converts to (starting) 100,000

Hawaiian Airlines HawaiianMiles (at a ratio of 4:1) converts to 25,000

Hilton HHonors (at a ratio of 1:2) Total: 50,000

You can also try the Coupon Connection Forum here.

Read some of the posts and get the flavor of what you may ask for exchange. With your substantial amount of US miles, there's probably someone out there can make a decent offer.

Redeem 100K on United or another partner. The world is your oyster.

If you want to dump the miles, some people use EBay too. You'd be the one booking the trip for the buyer of the miles with your points. you'd have to check what other people are selling USAir miles on Ebay to get an idea what kind of value there is. Of course, this is completley against the rules and regs of the Dividend Miles program, but it doesn't mean people aren't doing it anyway.
