There are two companies that offer same day tickets at discount prices. You wait in line and review a list of shows available that day. You then buy the tickets when you get to the window.

The tickets offered at these places are usually for "B" list shows, such as "house" shows of the major casino resorts. You won't find discount tickets for "A" list shows, like Cirque du Soliel, Celine, Mama Mia or Blue Man Group.

If you sign up for a casino's "slot club" and do even a modest amount of gambling, a casino host can often help you get a comp or at least a discount.

You can go to the Tix4Tonight storefront next door to the Harley Davidson Cafe. It's in a really small storefront right there, and has a lot of half-price tickets, though not for the really big shows. I don't think there were any Cirque shows available, and Celine was only 10% off. I don't remember if they had Blue Man or not.
