JAL Mileage Bank - Best C Class Seats on Two-class 747 and 777

We will be flying F on JL from SFO-NRT and I guess that all seats next to a window will be about the same. We are flying onto PEK on a JL 777 aircraft and then returning from BKK to NRT on a 747. Both of these offer only business and economy class.
Can anyone recommend the best business class seats on these aircraft. I understand they have legroom about the same as on two class US aircraft. True? Is the first row more desirable or is there a bulkhead which restricts legroom even more.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

JAL uses numerous configurations for same aircraft types. If you provide me with dates and flight number i can check the configuration.
