American Express Membership Rewards - UK Platinum offers email

Did anyone else get this shabby piece of e-marketing, highlighting offers for somewhere that sells nasty leather sofas and the suggestion I should join Priority Club (err, one of the reasons I got the card to begin with??)

Seems like it should've been targeted at the Barclaycard demographic. Or am I alone here?

I haven't had one this month, but the last couple have had invitations on them for London drinks parties which I happily accepted - one at Boss and one at Jaeger. (You always get a good goodie bag at Amex parties - £38 bottle of perfume at Boss and a tie at Jaeger.) I don't know if members outside London get different e-mails or not.

I heard nothing from them for most of the year then over the last couple of months I've had a couple...I mean, when I'm travelling around, booking hotels and car hire, what's the other thing I'd want to buy with my Plat. card...oh yes...a sofa.
