I am always interested in seeing Xmas lights - beyond the Las Vegas Blvd and downtown lights (perhaps with some additions during the season)? I wonder if there are other areas in Las Vegas, with major Xmas season lights?

I, too, enjoy holiday light displays. For the past few years, I've run away to Vegas at Christmas time and found the decorations at strip properties a bit uninspired.

Apparently, this season the casinos are stepping up their efforts (http://www.vegaswatch.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=002078). (Sorry, but I don't have any off-strip recommendations.)

Might want to contact City Hall:

I'm sure there are folks there that can direct you to Holiday Light displays outside of the "tourist" areas.

GVR will probably decorate nicely, but I don't remember seeing any lights when out there last week. Then again, I wasn't looking for lights -- I was there to check out the hotel and casino for a future trip.
