The uniformed screeners from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) have become familiar sights to air travelers across the country. But not all airport officials are happy to have them around. Nevada's Elko Regional Airport last week became the first airport in the country to apply to get rid of TSA screeners altogether and return to private employees.

I didn't know airports had the option of using private screeners. It would be interesting to see if they do better/worse in the secret tests that get done by the gov't seeing if the screeners catch everything. tls
