So recently, I got myself (a college student in CT) a in:nyc card to take advantage of the 0% apr and pay for some large purchases (a new laptop, etc).
Tonight, I took a girl out to dinner and paid with the amex, but had it upside down on the check (the back side is black, and just says "American Express World Service in silver)...so she says "Oh wow, you have one of *those* black AMEX cards??"
It certainly made an impression. And my saying that "oh, nah, anyone can get these" didn't do a thing to change her views :D
Just a fringe benefit for those who were saying the in:nyc's are worthless :cool:
