Delta SkyMiles (Pre-WorldPerks Merger) - ATL - NRT Question

Last time I flew this route, they were still using the MD-11's on the flight and they featured a 2-5-2 seat configuration in coach. Since I was traveling with just my wife at the time, we were content with the bulkhead window/aisle seats.
Well, it is time to repeat the trip with our infant son, and since they have converted to flying 777's on this route, I am trying to figure out if:
1) they are using the 3-3-3 seating or is it the original 2-5-2 that Delta originally featured on the 777?
2) If it is the 3-3-3 seating, do the seat arm rests rise all the way into the seats? I have painful memories of a UA 777 flight several years ago from IAD-MUN that featured arm rests that didn't fold all the way back into the seats, so dispite the fact that the flight was near empty, you couldn't stretch out across the row that you had to yourself.
Thanks
They use 2-5-2 seating. I've never been in the back on this flight, so I don't know if the arm rests raise up or not. However, judging from the several times I've flown this route, it probably won't matter (at least in terms of scoring a whole row to yourself) as the flight is usually near full.
I don't envy you on a 14-hour flight with an infant, but enjoy Tokyo once you arrive. I've always had great fun there!

Yeah, I figure the flight will be pretty full, as it has been in the past when I have taken it. The concern with the arm rests this time has more to do with if it was 3-3-3 then with my son in his car seat, I would get a little bit more space with the armrests up than if they don't fold up. Of course this is all moot if we have a bulkhead seat with the bassinet.
Also, 14 hours is a long stretch, but my wife is fond of reminding me that she made the trip several times in the 70's when she was a baby.

All ATL-NRT flights use the 3-3-3 configured 777s. Don't know about the armrests though. Good luck!

It is a 3-3-3 configuration, for the moveable armrest locations it depends on the ship number. I would call DL and hope for a knowledgeable agent.
Good luck
