MilesBuzz! - Donate Miles to Soldiers!
This is a good cause. I plan on donating some miles, and Free Ticket Vouchers. (can't earn miles on those anyhow).
Anyway, I didn't see if this had posted yet, but you might want to check out their websight... they do accept miles.. and of course cash!

If someone knows of a better place to post this, let me know.
Thanks

Is there a way to donate miles LESS than the amount required for a Y ticket?
I'd be happy to let them have my wife's DL miles which expire 31-Dec.
However, there amount is far below what's required for a free ticket.

I think this is a great idea, I just wish I had enough miles to donate.

I don't have a link, but if you call your prefered FF program line, I think they will be glad to accept/transfer miles to the airlines "Military Fund". I feel certain I have seen adds with NWA offering this service to the military with donated miles, and a serviceman I met at DFW told me that DL is letting all servicemen flying home enter the Crown Room Clubs for free during connections.
So I think there are several other programs out there where you can donate less than enough miles for a full ticket.
It is very similar (or maybe a part of) the NWA program that they call AirCares which transports children and their families needing specialized medical attention to world famous hospitals. All on donated miles.

Looks like www.heromiles.org will accept whatever miles you have on several airlines.

There are probably a few people around here who are fanatical enough for free miles that they would actually join the military simply for the prospect of getting some miles added to there accounts. :D Might be a great recruiting tool. Now is there any way you can get the miles for the flight to Iraq? :D
That was truly callous - and no number of big grin smiley faces will make it less so. Try reading the hero miles link that Dawoz provided and see what the miles are used for. Then see if it's worth a big grin.

I was going to post about this and then found this thread. It's that time of year again, and Let's Bring 'Em Home needs our help.

How old is the Hero Miles website that they have Pan Am listed on teh front page as an airline participating? And it's not on any of the other pages, so I don't think it's the PanAm Clipper Connection that currently flies out of MA...Besides, I don't think they offer any FF miles anyway. Must be somebody reliving the olden days.
