Canadian Airlines Plus - Online Booking Bonuses

Now that the CPlus to Aeroplan transfer has been confirmed for year end, I just realized that there may be changes to booking online with CPlus Interactive. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif I currently earn 500 CPlus points for every booking done at www.cdnair.ca (http://www.cdnair.ca) and Air Canada offers no incentive whatsoever to book on-line. Has anyone heard of anything new from Aeroplan Marketing regarding a similar bonus for www.aircanada.ca? (http://www.aircanada.ca?)

Ooops! I should note that Air Canada just launched an online booking promotion - albeit sort of unusual - Aeroplan will credit back 2500 Aeroplan points to your account when you book a travel award online using your Aeroplan account. So basically a 2500 point discount! Perhaps they are catching on to the potential of the internet? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

An online booking bonus for AC would be a good idea. CP gives 500 pts for online booking and 500 pts for requesting an e-ticket, though I can't remember if that was a one-time promotion or a permanent thing.

It's a simple incentive to encourage people to book their own flights without involving a res agent or travel agent. (i.e. lower co$t$)
