Unfortunately it appeas the Hilton Barbados may not be open when I have to be there on business (either late Jan or early Feb 05). Since this is a legit biz trip, I'm under corp expense guidelines which preclude stays at Sandy Lane, Royal Pavillion and other such lofty accomodations. It was suggested that Little Arches may fit the bill-- (rates under $400, halfway between the main business center & airport, near to beach etc). Any comments from fellow FT'ers on this property (Fodors & TripAdvisor seem to give it high marks), or any other suggestions-- I'll only be there 3 days and many of the smaller hotels/guest houses seem to want 6-10 day stays.

interested if you did stay at the Little Arches, as I was thinking of booking 7 nights there this summer for a honeymoon...if you did stay, any comments?

Currently in Barbados.Although not staying at Little Arches this trip, have been there twice over the last 13 months.
You can book less than a week at a time, although peak season is now.A room can be had for less than 250US per night.
There is currently a liquor issue at hotel and they are unable to serve any one alcohol .
Cafe Luna is a very good restaurant owned and operated by a Canadian born chef .(nickname Moo)
Staff are very personal and efficient.Close to Oistins and Friday night fish fry.Miami Beach(also known locally as Enterprise each) is one of the best for swimming on the island.
Enjoy this spot. ^ Will be there Thursday night for Sushi night.
