Canadian Airlines Plus - Earning CP status miles - do I understand correctly?

I'm flying Lufthansa next week (pure LH ticket, LH metal). Am I correct that the Lufthansa flight would get me miles but no status if credited to my CP account, and therefore should be credited to my AC account to give both miles and status which will be folded together with my CP account at year end? Or do LH flights already count towards CP status?

In addition, does anybody know whether one receives CP loyalty bonus miles only on status-earning partner flights or on all partner flights? I was a loyal little one-worlder so didn't fly any non-status flights last year.

I am a little confused by the different classes of airline partners CP has at the moment.

The website says only CP, AC, AA and BD.

Weigh a doubt against a certainty and put the miles in your AC account. They will definitely count as Q-miles that way.

Yeah, however press release for e.g. Ansett said flights counted for status, but website doesn't. I suppose things are in a state of flux.

OK, did what I should have done at the beginning and called CPlus. Here is the scoop (I think):

Flights on the following airlines currently earn status points on CP: CP(inc. regionals),AC(inc. regionals),AA,BD,LH, Ansett, Air New Zealand.

However, only flights on CP and AC earn loyalty bonus for requalified Gold and EP members.

Talked to two different people to verify, but neither seemed 100% confident in their answers. Maybe a kind EP could call the EP desk and see if they get a more authoritative answer?

I will now hold my counsel until the proportion of my posts on this thread drops below 50% http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
