Canadian Airlines Plus - One-Way Rewards

When Cdn Plus and Aeroplan merge, what will happen to the "One-Way Rewards" cureently being offered by Cdn Plus? Will they disappear like everything else???

According to the Executive Desk newsletter from April 2000 sent to Gold and EP members, the new joint awards chart specifically mentions that one-way awards are not available on AC and that black out periods are in effect as well - welcome to Air Canada's world. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

AC has no blackouts for North American travel, except Florida, Bermuda/Carribean, Mexico, Hawaii and LAS.

International blackout periods vary. HKG is blacked out for Christmas (3 weeks) and Chinese New Year (2 weeks), but SEL has no blackouts at all. TLV is blacked out for Pesach, High Holy Days, and the week before Christmas and the week after New Year's Day.

For Europe, no Fridays and Saturdays in summer, (Élites are waived), plus 3 weeks at Christmas.

Thanks for the info AC*SE - I haven't kept up on the AC award rules since I switched over to CP 4 years ago and became Gold - no rules to remember.
