We managed to get NASDAQ to put the Canadian Consulate logo and a Canada Day message up every hour on the hour in Times Square, today. And of course the Empire State Building will be Red and White tonight.

This only happens -- the Empire state building donning red and white -- once in a blue moon? Equally fine day out here on the prairie. Served up lots of ice cream to the kids after the annual Silly Summer Parade in old Old Strathcona this afternoon. BBQ is heating up and guest arrive shortly. The Shaftebury Solstice and Hemp ales are cooling in the fridge, and almost all is right with the world. They turn the waterfall on to transform Edmonton's high level bridge into a mini (a teeny tiny mini) Niagara, and hundreds of thousands of people will soon be lining Saskatchewan and Strathern Drives to watch the fireworks at 11. Every year there seem to be more Canadian flags hanging from apartment balconies and being hung on car antennas, so I don't think there is much fear of this province joing up to the USA soon. Happy Canada Day all, and to our Canadiens errants around the world!

Oh Shareholder, you are making me very sad, as I sit here in the Toronto MLL keying messages into cyberspace, all alone, tired, and just a little bored, and you about to start eating and drinking, and "partying on down dude".

Have fun and raise a glass to us poor and distressed travelers where ever we may be on land, sea, or in the air. Wish us a safe return to our loved ones at home.
