Not that I am abandoning ship or anything - but I just wanted the CPlus Gold or EPs who travel up and down the West Coast frequently to know that Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan was quite receptive to my "advances" to be reinstated as a 2000 MVP based on my CPlus Gold status. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif For anyone who is interested, I would be happy to provide the details if e-mailed.
Alaska allows confirmable upgrades when booking and although 'Boardroom' access is not included, I personally think that the upgrades and the 50% flight mileage bonus are worth it.
With CP-operated flights on YVR-LAX ending early in July and only two flights on YVR-SFO I have begun to look at other flight options in order to avoid UA, DL or you-know-who.
