Just before 10:30 MT today (Friday the 16th despite what is posted above) a Canadian Regional Airlines pilot landed his F28 safely at Dorval (YUL-Montreal). The aircraft had left from Quebec City on a non-stop flight to Toronto when it blew one of two front tires upon take-off. It was decided to continue on to YUL where longer runways would provide an extra safety margin for an attempted landing.
However, from live television pictures on CBC Newsworld, it appears the one remaining tire did not burst upon landing and all aboard are safe. The landing gear remained intact and the plane taxied to a gate.
