So I look at doing a one-way SEA/YVR and input the promo code. It prices out saying I am getting a special fare.

Then, do the same price without the promo code and it prices out exactly the same way - this time giving an my alaskaair discount.

I really dislike 'promos' like this. Esp., when it's only good when booking on-line and by doing a regular booking on-line you already get a discount - discounts cannot be combined so what good is the 'new' promo code?
