I'm ariving at BKK on a JAL flight at 11:30 on a saturday night. Will I be able to check my luggage onto a Sunday morning TG flight on Saturday night, or do I have to lug it to my hotel and back?

I'm ariving at BKK on a JAL flight at 11:30 on a saturday night. Will I be able to check my luggage onto a Sunday morning TG flight on Saturday night, or do I have to lug it to my hotel and back?
Where is your TG flight heading to ? If it is ain internationla flight you should be able to have it checked it through by JL. If it is domestic in Thailand depending on destination (HKT, CNX, etc) the same applies. All other domestic destination should be checked-in the following morning.
You cna leave your bags at the airport ofr a fee (100 bahts in international terminal, 70 in domestic)

I'm flying to HKT in the morning. I'm concerned that I will have to clear customs in BKK and the transfer desk will be closed.

If you are flying with TG to HKT the next morning, and you have checked your luggage through to HKT when you left NRT with JL there is no need to clear immigration if you don't want to. TG's transfer desks will be open at that time as the latest TG flight leaves just after 1am to Europe and Australia I believe. There are however no TG lounges open during the early morning hours.
It is even possible that JAL would issue you a TG boarding pass for your HKT flight as they often code share and should have access to each other's computer for certain flights (anyway ask)
