Canadian Airlines Plus - Points awarded for upgraded flight?

In the Air Canada forum, Airbus320 reports that on two occasions, AC have given only half points for an upgraded flight.

Has anyone else encountered this on either AC or CP? I wonder if this means they're going to give no extra points for upgrading, vs. 1.25pt/$ (AC) or 1pt/$ (CP) last year.

I think what happened was that the agent upgraded airbus320 on an L fare using the new certs. So technically, he shouldn't be upgraded but they upgraded him which mean he only gets half the points.

As of my last flight two weeks ago, it's still full point for R class.

I have some info on this situation that reflects how cheap AC is with points vs every other airline! :-)

Last year, my partner got upgraded on AC from YVR to YYC on a discounted fare and three months later, Aeroplan went in and adjusted the his account for the difference in points (subtracted 375). I dread the day when AC starts meddling with CPlus policies...
