all,
I am scheduled out Tues the 14th from YYZ to MIA (connecting to daylight flight to GRU) on CP. Leaves 703am. What terminal do crossborder CP flights leave from (Trillium, I hope)? Any danger of the CP and AC flights being combined (in that the AC flight arrives about 15 mins later, jeopardizing my connection in MIA)?

If it's a CP flight, your flight will defintely leave from Terminal 3. In regards to the combining flights, no one can tell you for certain. However, I belive it's March break for the kids next week, so the flights will probably be full reducing the chance of cancelling.
Just heard this morning that AC/CP are overbooked by 40% today.

And I heard here in YYZ (680 News) that the overbooking was United Airlines. Even heard the UA agent talk about the 10% no show and 40% overbooking.

The airline can only blame themselves for overbooking their flights. I think the overbooking is due to the AC/CP combining flights. They knew it's March break and most people are going to show up for their flights.
I heard it on 680 News in YYZ too...

I have begun to fly AC out of EWR instead of CP out of LGA even though I am an AA ff. On three southbound CP flights LGA-YYZ within the last six weeks I have been told at the check-in counter that the flight has been canceled even though I have checked on line and the flight appeared to be a go. Since CP flies out of T1 it tends to be quite an adventure attempting to get over to AC. I am PLT w/AA and have absolutely no status on AC so when I get to AC I have the "opportunity" to stand in line with alot of other people. I would leave extra time to make the change just in case. It seems that I am always running late which only exacerbates the situation.

Empress: Maybe you didn't understand what I said, IT WASN'T CP/AC that had the 40% overbooking. As a matter of fact, the Saturday Globe and Mail further reported that it wasn't even United, UA simply had a cancelled flight Friday morning, and the media mis-reported as 40% overbooking.
