I'm planning a trip through Asia, and due to limited flight times, I'm going to have two overnight layovers in Bangkok. The first is from 11:50pm to 10:55am; the second is from 10:50pm to 6:00am. Is it safe to just stay overnight in the airport, or would it be better to get a hotel? Do any of you know a cheap hotel that's easy to get to from the airport? I'm a female and I'll be travelling alone, but I'm also on a tight budget. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hey rose42, there has been a few threads on this in the last week alone. I know the conversation has come up in the past as well, this forum and Thai Airways forum. You may want to do a search.

What do you consider a tight budget? You can get into and stay in the city for about $15 or less if you don't have much luggage. Half that if your standards are low enough.

Amari hotel is connected directly to airport. Just cross over a bridge, and you are there. If you need something extra, you can go to the afterflight massage centre, tell them you want a full service massage, (about 4000bhat). You will get to pick the girl you want, and they will send her to your room, about 3 hrs of ecstasy, just my advice.....
