usairways.com now has a slightly modified look. Instead of the columns being curved, now everything is straight.

It seems that the changes were only cosmetic, its still the same old site, just a different look.

Old - http://web.archive.org/web/20040130002806/http://www.usairways.com/

New - http://www.usair.com/

- A new link to "Hotels, Cars, Packages" (does anyone really go to usair.com to book a car/hotel?

- A few more flight options for reservations - 1-way vs. RT, choose class of flight (for the hoarde of travellers looking for full fare F, Y and Envoy tix) and 2 dropdowns for # of adults & children vs. 1 for # passengers

- Minor changes to fonts, layouts, graphics.

Hardly worth the effort to build/QA/release, IMHO

Well, as a matter of design philosophy, incremental change is preferable to radical redesigns. Cleaning up the home page this way is a good first step; there isn't the perception that you've lost any functionality. It is still not as clean as AA or BA, but less cluttered than UA or HP without requiring the extra click for searching flights on WN or B6.

Like the changes - subtle but a bit easier to read the screen.

I agree. As long as this isn't the "big re-design" they've been talking about I think this is a good incremental step.

A new feature other than just cosmetic is the Refund/Ticket/Memo Status option. I used it yesterday and it worked pretty well.

Now if we could have just a single profile log-in that would be great ^

I assuming you meant Navitaire. What's wrong with it/them? I think they've been driving the back ends of US's Revenue Accounting, Distribution, etc. for a while.

When I hear Navitaire I typically associate that with OpenSkies more than anything else....
