I was just idly flicking round expedia a few minutes ago, as I have a week off, and I found soem good fares on Iberia from LHR to the US departing this weekend... MIA, ORD and JFK seem to come up at £1571 in Business class! I know thats 320 tier points but how many miles?
Only checked a few dates around this weekend and not sure where iberia fly to in USA , but as BA fare is over twice twice the price, I just thought it might be of interest to some people even though it is on Iberia... ;)

Yeah, but that's basically the same as the ex-LIS F prices for the US which would be a little more hassle but more miles and points, and hardly better than the J fare to Rio. :confused:

I realise that pauldb but I thought that it was a good price for last minute availability (especially when the BA price to JFK is more than that one way!) and the ex LIS fares would probably not be available this weekend at such short notice. :)

LOL!!! How did you get that price then? Just priced it on expedia and it came out at £1518 in J LIS-JFK but £510 for the Y single to LIS! (£266 for a return in Y!)
NB: I used 1.5 for the conversion to euros. it's probably a bit more.

That is the case for Y, though I would think you'd get BA Miles (at a miserly 0.25x miles), but no Tier Points (YMMV).
In this case it's Club so would get full points/miles.
