As a new member of the Royal Ambassador Club, I received a certificate allowing me to invite a friend/spouse/associate to the RA. My current membership expires in May'05, which I will obviously renew. Will the certificate given to a friend/spouse/associate be valid for one year from the time of signing up for it or will it expire when my membership comes to the end? Does this person receive a certificate upon signing up? Do I get another one upon renewal? Will apreciate responses. Thanks!

YES
or will it expire when my membership comes to the end?
NO
Does this person receive a certificate upon signing up?
Don't know
Do I get another one upon renewal?
Don't know, although based upon when the program started, I'm assuming the first batch of renewals should be coming up around Dec. So hopefully some could answer this based on first-hand experience soon.

Note that if the certificate is used by a current AMBASSADOR member to upgrade his/her status, the $150 charge is waved and the upgraded status will last until their current expiry for AMBASSADOR. It is then up to IC to decide to offer ROYAL or regular AMBASSADOR for renewal.

Good point. Thanks.

I believe that there are people who change their screen names regularly and try to obtain RA referral certificate, trying to sell it later for $$$. I have been asked $ 1100 not long time ago (just before being invited to RA based on activity). Please, consider awarding someone with RA certificate carefully. There are so many valuable FT members, with hundreds of posts, not just a few...

Congrats on acheiving RA status - sounds nice! I certainly hope that if I ever get sick on an airplane, you're one of the passengers. :D
