I will be travelling with my family (wife + 2 year old) to Sydney Nov 27th-Dec 9th. We stayed at the Westin in 2001 and really enjoyed it, but now with baby in tow am looking for something as nice as the Westin's rooms but with more space, a microwave, and maybe laundry facilities.
Would anyone have recommendations for reasonably priced lodging (<$250US/night) that might fit the bill?
I've looked on Expedia but don't trust their ratings or the pictures.
Thanks so much.
Best Regards,

A few years ago when I was visiting Sydney every couple months for 1-2 weeks at a time, I stayed at the Medina Harbourside. Members of my family traveled with me on occasion and loved the place as well. http://www.medinaapartments.com.au/
Since my work takes me to Australia often, I eventually bought an apartment high atop the Horizon Building in Darlinghurst with outstanding views of Sydney Harbour. I often recommend Medina Apartments to friends, family and associates staying longer than a week. My company also provides long-term accomodations for U.S. based employees at the Oakford City West Apartments near the University of Sydney... https://www.oakford.com/index.asp
By the way, welcome to Flyertalk... I see that this is your first post!

There is also the York Apartments which I recently inspected for a group of friends (& yes, we decided to stay there!). They have studio, 1 & 2 bedroom apartments each with kitchen & washer/dryer. With your budget, you could easily afford the 2 bedroom apartment in Nov as they have a special running at the moment. http://www.theyorkapartments.com.au/apartments.html (York Apartments)

I used to live in Sydney, and stayed here for a week before relocating to Singapore and I've also since stayed there on return visits. There is a wide selection of Apartment buildings to choose from and well within your budget. All buildings are on the northern side of Sydney Harbour, however within 5 minutes walks to the train/ferry which gets you into the CBD within 5-15 mins.
http://www.kirribilli.com/ => nice discounts for stays > 1 month as well ^
Have a fantastic time in Sydney.
Cheers.

There is also the Saville Suites in Bond Street right in the heart of the CBD. It is a 3 minute walk from the Westin and a great base to do business while others can go walkabout at the Rocks.
