I am a regular SQ (*G) flyer. Just flew CGK-SIN-CGK on LH.
Bought cheapo W class special fare ticket for USD125 including taxes.

Some observations:

CGK-SIN
- Check-in staff through checked my luggages to my UA flight SIN-HKG the next day. Or so she said. I checked my baggage receipt - wrong date! UA flight was stated as the same day as the LH flight, which was one day earlier than it was supposed to be. I came back to the counter and she didn't even apologize. Miss Smart then tried to change the date unsuccessfully, finally giving up. Then her colleague said that they will send a telex to SIN to make sure the baggage get on my UA flight the next day.
- In the lounge, I re-checked the baggage receipt (I had some bad experiences with JKT airport ground staffs before)- wrong flight no.! She inputted the HKGSIN UA flight number on the baggage instead of SINHKG.
- Inflight service was EXCELLENT, and this was in Y. Genuinely friendly FAs.
- Dinner was an egg salad sandwich, a Mars bar, and a pudding. Good enough for me.
- Flight departed on time.

SIN-CGK
- Check-in staff said that at 46 kgs my luggage was overweight and that I have to pay for the overweight fees. He will charge me 5kgs. I asked him if he can let me go this time. He said "No, cause normally we give only 10kg for *G". I said that *G gets 20kg extra as per the rule on the website. He said "No", smiling confidently, "Even Senators get only 10kg extra". I asked him nicely to check with his supervisor. He said okay, looked briefly to a LH manual, then call someone up. When he is back, he said "I was right. You do get 20kg, but I need to charge you 5kg extra". He was willing to overlook 10kg earlier, but now that I really have the 20kg extra allowance, he is going to "play by the book"? :(
- At the end, I decided to just buy a one way special Business Class ticket SINCGK and discard my W class one. Baggage allowance would be more than enough, and I'd get to try LH C.
- Flight was F-U-L-L in Y, but only 10-15% occupied in C.
- "Snack" was pasta, salad, rolls, and fruits. Small portion, but tasted good.
- Very friendly crew except one Asian female FA which never say anything and never smile. The rest were very efficient and professional.
- My *G status was not printed on my boarding pass.

Overall, I have good impression on LH (inflight). :)

Lovely to hear you enjoyed your flight.

Sorry to say that you clearly did not fly Lufthansa. ;)

Are you saying that I was extremely incredibly lucky? ;)
Maybe I had my expectations way down so I was pleasantly surprised.

I am glad your first LH flights gave you good impression. I am hearing another LH Senator in the making? :D Remember double dipping: sectors for your TPPS and miles for your M&M.
From my several flights on LH this year, when my *G status did not appear on the BPs, I had to file missing miles. Keep your BP and E-tx receipt handy.

I did check with the gate agent which looked into my records, and he said that the SQ numbers are there. But I always keep my tickets and boarding passes just in case.
