Trip Reports - RTW begining today. Here the trip. Details to follow!

I've got a great trip starting today that spans the next three months. Mind you, I won't be away from home the entire time. The includes five separate tickets.

Background: I start my RTW trips in CPH, as they are much cheaper out of Denmark. So my last RTW began there. I have one last LHR-CPH segment from that trip, so I must fly to LHR to get it. Here's the itinerary:

Wow, that's quite a convoluted itinerary, sounds like fun. How are you managing to stopover in LAX, and then transit back through LAX on the same ticket - I thought that was against the rules? Or am I getting your various tickets confused?

I'm also curious to know how you find RG on their LHR-CPH sector - I was going to take that option on my recent RTW but decided against it in the interests of getting a few more hours out of my UK stopover. I did notice that when I arrived at LHR for my 16.50 SK departure, the 14.00 RG flight was still hanging around, and didn't appear to leave until about 16.00. From what I hear this is not uncommon, so I hope you don't have too tight a connection in CPH.

AFAIK you can have 1 stopover plus 2 transits through same city (or 3 transits without stopover).

Interesting comment about RG which I had been thinking of taking myself.

I love those trips where you get to go home for a day or two in the middle of the trip. Looking forward to the report!

I only have one stoppover in LAX. The other is an under 24 hour overnight (conveniently at home!).

Ok, so I just completed my first leg, and I am sitting in the C RCC at ORD waiting the flight to LHR. T-mobile hot spot is actually working!

I decided to try Easy Check In at LAX. As reported in other posts, it took a while because I had to manually input all my passport info. But it worked.

Incidentally, Virgin Atlantic has all these little red books entitled, "Jetrosexual" in all the airport bookstores that say "complimentary" on them. They are basically advertizements. I took a couple for my collection,

My flight was on a 3-class 763, and was not all that full. Everything was on time, smooth, professional. Service was with a sincere smile. Choice was salad or hot turkey on focaccia (my choice). It was quite tasty!
