bmi diamond club - November Voyager Magazine - Bose Advert

On your travels over the next 22 days have a look at the Voyager Magazine (that useful place where people dispose of their their chewing gum since the removal of ashtrays), and tell me that I'm not alone in noticing a new cynical advertising method.
The Bose noise dampening headphones advert has one of the tear-out send away sections missing (the middle one)... I noticed it missing on my copy, then my travel partners one was missing, as was the passenger in 2C's.
Either Row two on an A320 is noisy, or Bose are already cutting the sections out to make it look like other passengers think this is a great never to be repeated (until next month) offer.
I wonder how much an advertising executive is getting paid to think of ideas like this.

just trying to remember my flight on friday, but on the last flight out of BHD last night, 11A definately had the same one missing. I know my flight on friday had one if not two missing, just cant remember which ones specifically
conspiracy theories eh!!!

Well conspiracy or not, those headphones are brilliant. I am on my second set (started with the QC1 for my first Round the World trip and purchased the QC2 recently).
However, you would be crazy to pay UK prices (GBP275 + GBP10 P+P) for them - you can buy them in the states from www.bose.com for delivery in USA only for $299, and before Jan you get a free $50 portable Bose CD player. And they are getting relatively cheaper for us to buy as Mr Bush drives the dollar to the floor.
EBay.co.uk is also a much cheaper place to buy them, though you lose your guarantee which is a good idea to have on such a high value product.

Now that you mention it, my copy on the MAN-EDI Friday evening had the same coupon missing. Not bad from an advertising point of view.
Or is it just the polite gum chewers??
Is there such a thing? Vile habit.

I'd like to give my personal recommendation to the PlaneQuiet Headphones - not quite as good as the Bose - maybe 90% as good, but one fifth of the price using the code at the bottom of the article - now just $48.

Flew to DC yesterday on the 701.
I actually collect the voyager magazines... and i like them pristine.
When i saw that the coupon had been taken out, i went to find another one.... same thing had happened!
I never realised it though, however the though DOES go through your mind... hmm, someone must have taken the card to buy them!
What a FANTASTIC marketing tool!!!!!
WOW!
