Question for all - my wife and I are going to be on our honeymoon in Australia during the 1st half of December. I've got a lot of our hotel/B&B reservations made, but I'd like to get some input on places people would recommend to stay in/around Canberra (for a night) and Melbourne (for 2-3 nights).
I'm looking for something in the price range of AUD$125-200/night. Bonus points to places with nice city/lake/ocean/bay views, en-suite hot tubs, etc. - I'm not looking for business amenities, really.
thanks in advance for your recommendations!
(also, any must-do things in Melbourne would be appreciated - we're spending some time on the Great Ocean Rd. prior, so that's checked off the last already)

But cost is double your budget, however might be worth the splurge or you might get a good price. It really is a good hotel for post-honeymoon activities.

There are several really good sites available to help you decide. Try one of these:
http://www.wotif.com.au/
http://www.ratestogo.com/
http://www.au.lastminute.com/
http://www.visitvictoria.com/
Melbourne has plenty to do however a clue about your interests would probably help us to steer you in the right direction. :)
The last two sites mentioned should give you a few ideas of things to do.
Good luck and Happy Honeymoon!
